This is a nice thought, but the article is focusing on the business/work environment, not the home user.  I agree with the commenter who raised some questions about personal data in this sort of environment, especially in connection with copyright enforcement.

Plus, the entire concept behind cloud computing assumes that everyone has internet connections available that can handle that sort of network traffic, and that’s just not the case when we’re talking about personal computing.  In moving forward with and advocating internet technologies, we need to remember that.
